They are watching Maury Povich - My 14-year old daughter strips in front of strangers for McDonald’s vouchers.
The sad thing is, there are episodes of Maury like that :(
from left to right: Joseph, Hero, unnamed cat, Heidi. I put the cat in because I felt like the area was too empty, so I haven’t given any thought to its name (or what sex it is.) It is a fluffy black cat with a white face and white paws.
I am happy with Hero, not so much with Joseph and Heidi. Two reasons: One, I have spent most of my drawing life drawing white girls, not men nor people of other ethnicities. Practice, practice, practice. Two, I have been drawing Hero for about seven years now. Here is retro-Hero, some of the first pictures I drew of her:
Whenever you are disheartened about where you are now, it is always good to remember how far you have come.
Constructive criticism always welcomed.
edit: Looking at it on the screen, Hero’s arm and hand are really hinky. Yelp! Also that one side of the couch is higher than the other. Oh well, try harder next time.

I really like Hero – and I didn’t even noticed the arm and hand until you said it – although it doesn’t look bad. She has such a pretty face!
Maybe Hero has a withered arm, and is going to get it replaced with a cybernetic arm? That would be awesome!
Overall, I like this pic, really good sense of character and place. I think Joseph and Heidi could do with a little more detail in their faces, to avoid them looking quite so flat.
thanks for the sweet comment on my blog bub! i wish i could give u some constructive critisism but to me it just looks amazing! im the kind of drawer whose stick figures end up lopsided and misshapen hehe. i love the kitty, so cute and fluffy
I really like Joseph – for someone who hasn’t drawn a lot of boys you’ve done fabulously. But I did notice the couch being lop sided and it bugged the hell out of me! But I’m picky like that.
Yay new cat!
I think it’s lovely, but then I one had a dot drawing contest with a five-year-old… and lost. Keep practicing!
@San Smith – O thanks!
@sarah hannah – I love fluffy cats, even if their fur ends up in the strangest places.
@Shannon – Yes it’s annoying me too. It’s not that hard to fix, if I get around to it…
@Kitty – Hehe thank you, you have many other amazing talents you can whip that five-year-old with though!
